You would think with all the down time I have lately that I would update more but sitting at the computer kinda a hurts a bit. But here it is....

I went to the doctor yesterday and no changes. I have mixed emotions about that. I am happy that the boy gets more time to cook but sad because this means I have to deal with more contractions. Trying to make the best of it. I still need to take it easy for a week, then I will be 36 weeks, but things are slowly getting back to normal. At least I hope so.

Where to start. I think I will start with the latest and work my way back a bit. So what is going on with the Talbot clan right now:

Let me explain why. On Sunday September 4th I woke up feeling just fine. I started our Sunday morning routine of getting kids up and figuring out what to make for breakfast. Some time

went by and I started to have some contraction, not good since I was only 27 weeks. I drank some water and laid down until it was time for church unfortunately that didn't help. Luckily they quit later that night.

I went through something similar with James so I wasn't too worried so I waited until my appointment on Thursday before I talked to my doctor. She told me to drink lots of water, take it easy and gave me a prescription to make sure I didn't have a yeast infection.

I have had on and off contractions since. Sundays seem to be my worst days. Reuben thinks it is because of the running around to get everything ready to go. Well yesterday everything seemed to

I was having really consistent contractions really close together. Reuben came home to help with the kids, what an amazing hubby I have. Finally at 4:45 I called my doctors office and they advised that we go to Labor and Deliver that night. I told Reuben to go to Scouts then we would head over to the hospital. Our awesome neighbors Mike and Allison watched the kids and we got to the hospital right before 8:00pm.

and watching the contractions for a while the test came back that I have a major bladder infection, a first for me. They checked my cervix, not dilated luckily, gave me meds, and sent me home. We are hoping that once I get through the week of meds that the contractions will lessen. I don't think they will stop just because I have done the pre-term labor thing before.

So I am not on bed rest, at least for now, but I do have to take it easy and I can't lift anything over 5 pounds. So if you come over to visit please ignore the mess. My home is officially a

Getting Krafty in the Kitchen!

I have a lot of crafty friends I realized this weekend. I can admit I'm jealous!!! So I decided to final work on some projects that I have been neglecting. So here they are:

I have had these wood blocks since Jasmine was born. It was about time I did something with them. I just ripped up some scrapbook paper and mod podge them on. Then I sprayed a sealant on them and added the bling.

Same basic thing as above but with the Temple on top!

Our Christmas Letter

This has been a year of new beginnings for our family. We started the New Year getting to know our new neighbors. This spring we put in the yard at our new house. So no more mud tracked in by the kids, at least not from our yard.

Stephanie got to hang out with some old friends for a wedding shower, while Reuben and the kids got to spend quality time with Grandma and Grandpa Camp exploring the Children’s Museum in Salt Lake. We welcomed home Reuben’s parents from their mission in Boston. We spent the Fourth of July with the Talbot clan in Arizona, where Stephanie shot a gun for the first time. The kids had a lot of fun watching Grandpa Camp coach at the Grantsville Homecoming game.

Reuben has done lots of traveling around the state for work. James is now potty-trained and Jasmine has started all-day Kindergarten. Stephanie canned all by herself this fall from our first garden. All in all a busy but wonderful year!

SOCCER

It is that time of year! The Sun is shining! The grass is green, if you have any! The sky is blue, when it isn't snowing! It also means it is soccer time. I missed the outdoor league sign ups but I did get her sign-uped for the indoor league here. She was so excited because this is something that she can do with Reuben!

She did so good for her first game. She gets a little frustrated that she doesn't get the ball much yet. I think that she wants to be as good as her daddy. She will learn that it takes a lot of time and practice to become good at anything. I am proud to be a soccer mom!

James and His Hair

If you have ever seen James. You know he has crazy hair that sticks straight up. That is why I usually buzz his hair when it gets too long. Well a while ago, Reuben was like, "lets fauxhawk it." I was a little surprised that Reuben suggested it, but trust me I was all for it.

So we have the painter here today to finish up the repairs on the house. I put the kids in James' room so they would be out of the way and let them have a snack in there. Jasmine made them a little table and told James to sit down for prayer. She quick blessed the food so they could it. It was so cute! I wish I could have gotten it on video.

I like Hugs!

Not those kind, well I do but I was talking about the Chocolate kind.

You may be asking why would anyone care about my love of this chocolate wonder? Well I was told I needed to blog more and this is what came to mind.

I have always enjoyed these wonderful creations but it was until I meet a Miss Jenny in College that I feel in Love with them. Jenny like myself is a convert to the LDS church, in fact she was baptized exactly one week before me. Hers was the first baptism I every went to. We shared the same missionaries and bonded over trying to find them the Wednesday night before my baptism so I could get it planned. She came up with the brilliant plan of giving these little guys out to our missionaries since we couldn't physically hug them. One thing you have to know about Jenny, is she is way into hugging.

So every since that first year in college, I have loved these little things, not just because they taste so darn good but because they remind me of a truly amazing time in my life that paved the way to where I am today!

Some Say we are Crazy!

Last Night my mother and I finalized are plan of attack for BLACK Friday Shopping! We would got to bed at 7:00 pm! Yes 7:00 pm! We would try to leave Grantsville about 12:30 am and hit Toy R' Us, then Old Navy at 3:00, Kohls at 4:00 am, Then Target or Walmart at 5:00 and the Mall at 6:00.

Of Course there were a few deviations form this plan but we got most of the stuff we wanted to get and I got all the stuff I needed to complete my Christmas Shopping for the day. Just a few little Stocking Stuffers to get and I am done! I will have to post pictures of mine and my moms haul this year, she went a little overboard again, when we bring in the stuff tonight after the kids go to bed!

I hope you all had a Great Thanksgiving and Day after Thanksgiving!

I have been so bad about blogging this last year. I will try to do better! I promise! Our old computer monitor fried so I can't access any pictures from this year. Then we inherited my parent's old iMac. So as I am able to get things transfered over here I will.

So James is almost two and a half and can count to five and sing his ABC's! I will try to get video of him doing it. Jasmine now loves to sing songs and teaches them to James it is so cute! Anyway I do better and try and catch you up on our new lives.

Memory

Last year for Christmas we bought Jasmine the Disney Princess version of Memory. However she didn't have the patience to try and learn it, so it was put in the top of her closet and forgotten about. Until last night, I really wanted to have some family time and remembered that we had that game, so Reuben dug it out and we ended up playing two small games and then a big game with all the tiles.

The first game was spent in tears and complaints that it was her turn. By the last games she was was saying "Good job mommy," when I got a match. She still needed help on finding the matches but she was learning about taking turns.

First thing this morning she wanted to play again. Since I am not feeling great, I only wanted to play a very small game. I laid out 8 matches and began to play. Jasmine got 4 matches without my help. She is growing my leaps and bounds and I love watching her try and master new things!

My Great Great Great Grandfather Jacob Woelfle

So I keep thinking about things to blog about but, haven't actually sat down to do it. Well Sunday night by little cousin Tara gets this message through Facebook from some random distance cousin of ours. She has pictures and written histories about a line on our family tree that I have hit a dead end on.

So over the last two days I have my mom and I have been chatting about family history and her getting in contact with some of her cousins back East and it has been really nice. I am not very close with any of my extended family. I am still pretty close with my Aunt Tami and cousins but since my Uncle died, I have seen them as much as I would like. My cousin Tara seems excited about the family history and doing some of the Temple work. I am going to plan a trip with her in the Spring.

Anyways I pretty excited about getting back into my family history, over Christmas my mom and I are going to scan in our family pictures and compare with our distant cousin and see if we can figure who some of these people are. I am looking forward to hearing stories about my family.

Next will be my dads sides, I thought my LDS Aunt would have done alot but I think I have more then her. Of course it doesn't help that 2 of my Aunt are only 1/2 half aunts and I have 1/2 uncle and 1/2 aunt floating around. It will be an adventure figuring that out. Yeah for FAMILY HISTORY!

Finally Halloween

For the first time in a long time I actually enjoyed Halloween. For those of you that don't know, I hate Halloween. I like the idea of it but for about the last ten years nothing ever goes as planned and I also end up stressed and cranky by the end of the night!

The night before we made donuts for Reuben's work party, it is also

a family tradition on his side.

I made Reuben take half a day off so I wouldn't feel like everything fell on my shoulders or so rushed. We had an early dinner of hamburgers and godfather

s made with homemade fries. Godfathers is cheese fries and brown gravy, another Talbot family tradition for Halloween. We got the kids ready and headed over to our wards Trunk or Treat. Jasmine had a lot of fun looking at all the

different costumes. After the Trunk or Treat we headed to Nibley and hit one awesome street and then headed home. We had an awesome night!

I voted today. I voted for change. I voted for Barrack Obama! I know, I know, I am from Utah and a Mormon! I am not posting this to start problems, I am just so happy that someone I believe in will be the next president! I hope that he will make it through the next 4 years!

Today was the first day that I tried to do something creative with Jasmine's hair. I have seen on some of my friends blogs, all the cute hair styles that they do on their little girls and have been so jealous. So today while Jasmine was at preschool I went looking and found some cool blogs. The only problem is these blogs give general instructions and I am the type of person that needs detailed instructions on how to do, well anything. So this afternoon I took someones instruction and come up with my own take on it and this is what I came up with.It is not very polished or even but I think it is ok for a novice!

Tonight we gave James his first hair cut. He is so not my little baby boy anymore. He looks so big now and he also looks like his cousin Morgan. My hubby's family has some strong genes if you ask me. James was not excited about getting his buzzed at all, but he looks so good!

What A Day to Celebrate!

Today we celebrated Jasmine's 4th birthday, her actaully birthday is tomorrow. My mom and I went and got her hair cut and styled. She did a good job sitting still while the hair stylist curl her hair into little ringlets. We went and had lunch at IHOP, which wasn't very good. Then Reuben, the kiddies and I went to the American West Heritage Center. We got to see lots of animals and learn about the Old West. There was a petting zoo that Jasmine absolutely loved. She went through a little kiddie corn maze, another one of her favorites. She went for a pony ride but didn't like that so much, the horse trip and she almost slid off. We took an Old West family picture, which I have always wanted to do! Overall it has been a great day!

So tonight we headed to Logan High School to watch my dad coach the Cowboys. Unfortunely the Cowboys got stomped 59-0. I hope that they can get better. GO FIGHT WIN!

SCRAPBOOK EXPO

So twice a year I head down to fabulous Salt Lake and attend the almighty USA Scrapbook Expo. Once again it was an amazing time with my mom, going to classes, scrapbooking and shopping. Over two day I took 4 classes, in which I made 15 beautiful pages. I finished 15 of my own pages and I shopped a lot. If you are a scrapbooker and have never been I do insist you go! It is so much fun!

The Joy School

Jasmine is an active and social child, for this reason we decided that it was time for her to go to Preschool. I didn't know who to ask for advice on which preschool in Logan was the best so I picked the cheapest I could find. This is how I choose The Joy School and I am glad I did! The teacher is fantastic, I just love her. Jasmine comes home with a note about what they learned that day and even questions to ask her. They learned a song last week, and so I asked Jasmine about it and she sang it to me. I have been trying to teach Jasmine songs and they never stuck, so this was a huge surprise. I recommend The Joy School as a great preschool for the Value!
